Upon request nSightul will: Allow any visitor to "opt out" of further promotional contacts. Use reasonable efforts to allow visitors to update/correct personal information previously submitted which he/she states is erroneous to the extent such activities will not compromise privacy or security interests, and Initiate reasonable efforts to functionally suppress the visitor and his/her personal information from its database.

Visitors should be aware that it might be impossible to completely suppress erroneous information or a visitor's personal information without some residual information remaining in its database because of backups and records of deletions.

CCPA
As a leading data aggregator, nSightful ensures its data solutions comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) regulations.

While nSightful already has a robust process in place to manage opt-outs and deletions, we have revisited this process to ensure it meets the requirements of CCPA, including the management of opt-outs that are received from third parties acting on behalf of a consumer.

For more than 20 years, and as part of our data privacy policy, nSightful has provided consumers notice about our data aggregation and use practices, and offered U.S. consumers the opportunity to opt out of our marketing products (see opt-out link below). We have also required our data suppliers to do the same. As part of our CCPA readiness, nSightful is currently contacting our data suppliers to obtain an addendum to our Terms and Conditions that confirms they are in compliance with the notice and opt out provisions of the statute.

The CCPA requires consumer access for three types of information: (i) data collected, (ii) data sold, and (iii) data disclosed. Covered businesses must be able to provide California consumers who make access requests a report showing the categories of personal information and “specific pieces of information” for the data the business has collected, and the categories of personal information and third parties for the data it has sold or disclosed. nSightful has developed a process that will allow us to track such information across our data solutions.

As an added note, nSightful is not a compiler so we do not collect any California data. However, as an aggregator we do resale California data compiled by other firms. Finally, we do not keep any sensitive personal data, i.e. account numbers, social security numbers, credit card numbers, web visit or tracking information.

What is CCPA?
The CCPA applies to any company that does business in California for a profit, that collects personal information from a California resident; and that either: (i) has annual gross revenue over $25 million; (ii) annually buys, sells, receives, or shares for a commercial purpose the personal information of 50,000 or more consumers, households, or devices; or (iii) derives 50% or more of its annual revenues from selling consumer’s personal information. The law is not limited to information collected electronically or over the Internet, but applies to the collection and sale of all personal information.
